You don’t need to pay a ton of cash for a photo\image editor unless you are a professional and NEED a huge amount of features. There are a great deal of free offerings out in the world for the everyday person to quickly edit and finish the ‘point-and-shoot’ pictures, sort them by date or tags or keywords, and gives an option to upload the pics to an online account. There are a ton of different picture apps out there. These are two of my favorite photo editing and photo management software:
Picasa is free photo editing software from Google that makes your pictures look great. It is very easy to learn how to use and it has some great features. Plus you can sync your photos with your online Picasa account (online backups)! If you choose up upload your photos to your online account you can share the web location with your family and friends.
Windows Live Photo Gallery is a part of the Windows Live Essentials software suite provided for free to Windows customers. This is another great photo editor\management software that has a ton of features. With Photo Gallery you can upload your pictures to an online account, the same as Picasa. But you are not limited to only being able to upload to only your Windows Live account. You can upload photos to Flickr or Photobucket.
I have both Photo Gallery and Picasa installed on my computer because I can’t decide which one I like better. Download and install one or the other. No matter what, you will be happy with either Picasa or Windows Live Photo Gallery!
